LIM JOE ONN
Scholars@Work Sports Day
7 March 2015
In my life, I seldom play frisbee or captain ball and never get to master the skills of playing these two sports. This event gave me an opportunity to get out of my comfort zone, attempt on playing these sports and make new friends to expand my network. This event bonds together students from different courses, encouraging interaction between people who barely had a chance to interact with one another in their daily lives.
In this event, participants were divided into four different teams by random. Next, the teams compete with one another via a league of games of captain ball and frisbee. Our team was losing at first due to our inexperience compared to members of other teams. However, we still managed to finish third overall. As the games we played were group sports, effective communication and teamwork between team members are vital. Each member of the team must know what the other members are doing. This does apply to many situations in real life.
