In this varsity-level competition, participants from all schools present their ideas on ways to decreasing carbon-emission, urban heat island effect and other negative impacts on our environment through ways of waste management, innovative technology or any other methods.
Our team's idea is to revolutionize residential housing plans by redirecting waste from housing units to an urban farming zone. Agriculture with close proximity to the living areas produces organic food back to the residents. This decreases the demand of transportation of food from other places and fully utilize waste as fertilizer, thus making residential houses more self-sustainable.

Through six weeks, weekly meetings are to be conducted within the groups to understand the process and procedure of a project’s timeline. Each member of the group is assigned a role of the different consultants in the building industry, then required to carry out the appropriate duties as per their job scope in the duration of the project’s timeline.
By designing, managing and documenting the simple construction project, it highlights the importance of cost, quality and time with the measurable “success criteria”. A documented report with organizational chart, Gantt chart, work breakdown structure, project scheduling and other various information is expected.
The objectives of the project have been achieved, in which i understand the application of management techniques in the control and direction of the project resources. I also learnt the skills of evaluating the dynamic changes that occur during a project’s life cycle and the nature of a project’s success. This process made me understand the means of evaluating and managing the risks that can lead to success and failure in a project’s performance.
