eco campaign 2015 eco ideas proposal competition
first runner-up
19 June 2015
In this varsity-level competition, participants from all schools present their ideas on ways to decreasing carbon-emission, urban heat island effect and other negative impacts on our environment through ways of waste management, innovative technology or any other methods.
Our team's idea is to revolutionize residential housing plans by redirecting waste from housing units to an urban farming zone. Agriculture with close proximity to the living areas produces organic food back to the residents. This decreases the demand of transportation of food from other places and fully utilize waste as fertilizer, thus making residential houses more self-sustainable.

design studio 1
project 2: life capsule
The main aim of Project 2 is to expand the interpretation of one self and heighten the awareness about the interaction between space and body, allowing us to explore the role of reasoning in shaping form and space. It is a group work, collaborating ideas of multiple individuals. A member is chosen to become the user of the capsule. All design components are based on the chosen group member’s body dimensions and the occupation he/she potrays.
This involves designing a confined space that possesses multi-functional furniture. The project consists of two major stages: the Interim Presentation “The Shell’ and the Final Presentation 'Funitecture'. A limited space challenges us to thoroughly consider anthropometry and ergonomics.
