eco campaign 2015 eco ideas proposal competition

In this varsity-level competition, participants from all schools present their ideas on ways to decreasing carbon-emission, urban heat island effect and other negative impacts on our environment through ways of waste management, innovative technology or any other methods.
Our team's idea is to revolutionize residential housing plans by redirecting waste from housing units to an urban farming zone. Agriculture with close proximity to the living areas produces organic food back to the residents. This decreases the demand of transportation of food from other places and fully utilize waste as fertilizer, thus making residential houses more self-sustainable.

project 2: materiality of space - an experiential exploration
This assignment is designed to introduce us building materials that are commonly used in the construction industry. The spaces or building selected to study will allow us to understand the reasoning behind choices made by designers in terms of concepts, function use, environmental response, structural requirement, availability of resources and et cetera when proposing building materials.
In groups of 5, we select a commercial/ residential building and explore most of the building materials covered in the module based on that building. Next, we are to digitally produce 8 A2 boards, 3 as a group and one individual board from each of based on our research and perception.
Our team selected the Digi Headquarters in Shah Alam as our case study.
