eco campaign 2015 eco ideas proposal competition
first runner-up
19 June 2015
In this varsity-level competition, participants from all schools present their ideas on ways to decreasing carbon-emission, urban heat island effect and other negative impacts on our environment through ways of waste management, innovative technology or any other methods.
Our team's idea is to revolutionize residential housing plans by redirecting waste from housing units to an urban farming zone. Agriculture with close proximity to the living areas produces organic food back to the residents. This decreases the demand of transportation of food from other places and fully utilize waste as fertilizer, thus making residential houses more self-sustainable.

building services
project 1: application of basic building services
As an individual project, it aims to develop our knowledge of building services and its systems in design and construction. We researched on the four major types of services available in residential housing, which are essential to the functionality of a building.
First, I was given an actual building plan, which is taken from a Pr1ma housing plan in Sungai Petani, Kedah. Next, I have to design the systems required from the given building plan, assuming that the building only consists of one floor. Therefore, I need to understand how systems in building services work and later apply them by drawing the systems. Through this process, I familiarized myself with UBBL requirements.
Through this assignment, I mastered the ability of demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of applicability of specific building services systems in in response to practical considerations.
